Zuntenium Workspace UI

VS Code extension — brings the Zuntenium QuFlow visual workspace into your editor: circuit design, job management, live telemetry, and Bloch sphere results.

Features

  • Visual circuit editor — edit .zqc/.quflow files in a rich GUI; export to Python
  • Backend tree — browse simulators and hardware backends with qubit limits
  • Job telemetry — live job status with adaptive polling; persisted across sessions
  • Bloch sphere + results — WebGL Bloch sphere, measurement histogram, energy convergence chart, run statistics
  • Compute bridge — local SDK execution over stdin/stdout JSON-RPC (no shell injection, allow-listed methods)
  • Secure auth — JWT and API key stored exclusively in VS Code SecretStorage

Install

code --install-extension zuntenium-workspace-0.1.0.vsix

Requirements

  • Python ≥ 3.10 with zuntenium installed (pip install zuntenium)
  • For hardware backends: valid QuFlow Cloud credentials

Connect

  1. Open the Zuntenium Activity Bar panel.
  2. Click Connect and enter your QuFlow Cloud URL + credentials.
  3. Credentials are saved to SecretStorage — never written to disk or logs.

Circuit Editor

Open any .zqc or .quflow file to launch the visual editor:

  • Drag gates onto qubits
  • Click Run to execute via the compute bridge
  • Click Export to generate Python code

Settings

Setting Default Description
zunteniumWorkspace.cloudBaseUrl "" QuFlow Cloud base URL
zunteniumWorkspace.pollingIntervalMs 5000 Job status poll interval
zunteniumWorkspace.maxConcurrentJobs 5 Max tracked jobs

Security

  • All cloud responses rendered via textContent — no innerHTML
  • Strict CSP with per-load nonces on every webview
  • Bridge subprocess limited to allow-listed methods; max 20 qubits (simulation), 100 qubits (validation)
  • Workspace Trust required before executing any code
