Vibes to Bucks — Cursor AI Cost Tracker

Stop leaving AI costs on the table. Turn them into client invoices — automatically.

You're shipping fast with Cursor. But at the end of the day, do you actually know what that AI spend cost you — per client, per project? And does any of it end up on an invoice?

Vibes to Bucks gives you that answer, always visible at the bottom of your editor. And with Pro, it turns those numbers into time entries in Moneybird or Harvest without you lifting a finger.

Built for vibe coders, freelancers, and small agencies who bill clients for their work.

The problem it solves

  • You use Cursor across multiple client repos every day — but have no idea what each client actually costs you in AI spend
  • You bill by the hour, but AI time rarely makes it onto your timesheet
  • Manual time tracking is a chore you skip, so clients get under-billed and you eat the cost
  • You switch between projects constantly — tracking which window was for which client is a nightmare

Vibes to Bucks handles all of that in the background, so you can focus on building.

AI Cost & Revenue Dashboard — weekly overview with cost, revenue, and profit tickers

Breakdown by Git or folder source — per-repo AI cost and profit per client

Budget progress per client and 30-day daily AI cost sparkline

Free vs Pro

Cost tracking is free. Pro connects those tracked costs to your clients and billing software.

Free — no account needed

  • Always-on cost visibility — today's AI spend shown live at the bottom of Cursor, across all open windows
  • 30-currency support — display all costs in any of 30 currencies (EUR, GBP, USD, JPY, CAD, AUD, and more) with a live exchange rate, across the dashboard, status bar, and billing rules
  • Full usage dashboard — cost breakdown per git repo, branch, local folder, or Cursor workspace
  • Multi-project aware — working across several repos at once? Each is tracked separately, so nothing bleeds into the wrong project
  • Precise attribution — AI costs are matched to projects with high accuracy.
  • Billable hours calculated — see how much time your AI spend represents at your rate, without any invoicing setup
  • 15-language UI — the full interface is available in English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, Russian, Hindi, Bengali, Arabic, Urdu, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Brazilian Portuguese

Pro — vibestobucks.com · €24/year or €149 lifetime · 14-day free trial

  • Map repos to clients — connect a git repo, branch, or host or folder to a contact and project in Moneybird or Harvest
  • Time entries written for you — billable hours land in your invoicing tool automatically, once a day or on demand
  • AI-written time descriptions — each entry comes with a meaningful, client-ready summary based on what you actually worked on which is summarized based on commit messages
  • Sync Ledger export 🆕 — download your full billing history as CSV, Excel (.xlsx), or JSON. Export the filtered view or just selected entries — useful when you invoice outside of Moneybird or Harvest, or just want your own copy of the data.
  • Per-client budget caps — set a weekly AI spend limit per project and get alerted before you blow past it
  • Budget alerts inside Cursor — notified at 25%, 50%, 75%, 85%, 95% and over, without leaving your editor
  • Client context in the status bar — see the current client name, project, and budget status for whichever window you're in

Works over SSH

Using Cursor with an SSH remote workspace? It works out of the box — no extra setup needed beyond having Git available on the remote machine.
