Application Framework integration for Visual Studio Code

The Application Framework is a comprehensive solution for middleware independent design, implementation, and test of distributed applications for POSIX-based systems. This extension integrates the Application Framework with Visual Studio Code.

Prerequisites

There are two possible variants of the Application Framework available. It is required to have either of them installed at least.

• Option 1 is the open source variant as maintained by the Automotive API Framework project in Eclipse.SDV.
• Option 2 is the product variant as provided by Vector Informatik GmbH on top of the open source version.

Features

This extension provides two central features. On the one hand, a graphical webview for project visualization. On the other hand, a tree view for project navigation and task management.

The sidebar, ideally integrated on the right hand side of the IDE window, gives easy access to the command line interface of the Appliction Framework and further groups projects for direct access and navigation.

The graphview brings a comprehensive visualization for integration projects and links with configuration as code as well as implementation artifacts.
