California Summer

A warm dark theme for VS Code.

Built around the colors of a California summer: marigold on the dry hills in the evening, sage in the brush, the Pacific going dark behind it.

The background is a deep blue-black, which is what lets the warm colors read. Strings and functions are marigold, keywords sage, types Pacific blue.

Comments stay readable, the whole window is themed rather than just the code, and the terminal's ANSI colors come from the same set. Semantic highlighting and bracket pair colors are on by default.

Install

Open the Extensions panel (Cmd+Shift+X, or Ctrl+Shift+X on Windows and Linux) and search for California Summer.

Once it's installed, Cmd+K Cmd+T (Ctrl+K Ctrl+T) brings up the theme list.
