V-Bounce Studio

V-Bounce Studio is a VS Code extension that serves as the control plane for the V-Bounce Framework — a structured system for planning, implementing, and validating software using AI agent teams.

What It Does

V-Bounce Studio brings your entire product development workflow into VS Code:

  • Agent Chat — Talk directly to Claude, Gemini, or OpenAI agents from within VS Code. Switch providers mid-conversation without losing context.
  • Sprint Monitor — Live dashboard that shows your active sprint, story pipeline state, agent activity feed, walkthrough checklist, and token usage — all updated in real time as agents work.
  • Document Viewer — Browse and edit V-Bounce planning documents (Epics, Stories, Sprint Plans, Delivery Plans, Risk Registry) with syntax highlighting and section navigation.
  • V-Bounce Navigation — See your sprint backlog, gate check results (QA / Architect), and lesson feed without leaving the editor.
  • Multi-Provider Support — Claude Code CLI, Gemini CLI, OpenAI (Codex), with more providers coming.

Requirements

  • VS Code 1.85+
  • At least one AI provider configured:
    • Claude Code CLI (recommended)
    • Gemini CLI
    • OpenAI API key (set via V-Bounce: Set OpenAI API Key command)

A V-Bounce workspace is a repository with a product_plans/ directory and a CLAUDE.md or LESSONS.md file. The extension activates automatically when these are detected.

Getting Started

  1. Install the extension
  2. Open a V-Bounce workspace (or run vbounce init to create one)
  3. The V-Bounce Studio icon appears in the Activity Bar
  4. Open the chat panel and select your provider

Features

Agent Chat

Multi-tab chat interface with streaming responses, tool activity feed, image paste support, and per-message token cost display. Each tab maintains an independent session.

Sprint Monitor

Opens automatically when a sprint starts (state.json detected). Shows:

  • Active sprint ID and story pipeline
  • Live agent activity feed
  • Sprint health bar
  • Token context bar (usage vs model limit)
  • Per-agent token breakdown

Document Viewer

Tabbed viewer for all V-Bounce planning documents with rendered Markdown, Mermaid diagrams, and Gherkin syntax highlighting.
