Unisphere for VS Code

Open your Unisphere Environment in VS Code — connected, secure, and with nothing to configure.

How it works

Click Open in VS Code in the Unisphere app. This extension connects your editor to your Environment over a short-lived, revocable certificate brokered by Unisphere — you never touch SSH keys, IP addresses, or provider details. You land straight in /workspace/unisphere, ready to work on GPU compute.

Features

  • One-click connect from the Unisphere web app.
  • No SSH setup, no provider IP, no keys to manage.
  • Secure by design: ephemeral certificates, automatic renewal, nothing standing on your laptop.
  • Reconnects transparently after sleep or network drops.

Requirements

  • The Remote - SSH extension (installed automatically as a dependency).
  • A Unisphere account and a running Environment.

Privacy & security

The extension holds only a short-lived, revocable certificate for the Environment you open. It never stores provider credentials or storage keys.
