This extension provides MetricFlow schema validation to Visual Studio Code via the YAML language extension.

Features

Schema validation

Provides syntax highlights when part of your configuration file doesn't conform to the MetricFlow schema.

Hover support

Hover over a key to get its description from the MetricFlow shema.

Auto complete

Use Ctrl + Space to complete values from the MetricFlow schema.

Using the extension

To enable or disable MetricFlow schema checking for your workspace, use the command MetricFlow: Enable/ Disable from the command pallete.

Once enabled, validation will automatically be applied to your files as you edit.

What is MetricFlow?

MetricFlow is a open source semantic layer that sits on top of your data warehouse. Using MetricFlow you can define metrics (like active users revenue, and net dollar retention) in code, and reuse the same definition logic across your entire organization.
