This Visual Studio Code extension provides syntax highlighting, color theme, and basic editing support for the Simplified Semantic System Markup Language (S3ML).

S3ML is a flexible, human-readable, and AI-friendly alternative to XML designed for defining, validating, and describing structured data. Its lightweight syntax makes it easy to learn and understand while providing a powerful and versatile tool for organizing and communicating information.

Installation

  1. Download the extension from the Visual Studio Code Marketplace or clone this repository.
  2. Open Visual Studio Code, navigate to the Extensions view (Ctrl+Shift+X or Cmd+Shift+X), and click the "Install from VSIX..." button in the Extensions view header.
  3. Select the downloaded VSIX file or the cloned repository folder to install the extension.

Usage

After installing the extension, it will automatically provide syntax highlighting and editing support for S3ML files with the .s3ml file extension. You can also manually set the language mode for a file by clicking on the language identifier in the bottom right corner of the status bar and selecting "S3ML".

To use the S3ML color theme, go to File -> Preferences -> Color Theme and select "S3ML Color Theme".
