Show Current Date

A minimal VS Code extension that displays today's date in the status bar, with a command (Show Current Date) that shows the full date via an information message.

Packaging

npm install
npm run package   # produces show-current-date-0.0.1.vsix

Then upload the .vsix manually via https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/manage/publishers/TheRuStudio.
