Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC Extension for VS 2022
Overview
The Progress® Telerik® UI for ASP.NET MVC is an integration package that will significantly boost your productivity when creating ASP.NET MVC projects in Visual Studio. The Extensions enable you to work smarter with streamlined features and minimize the learning curve for new users.
The Visual Studio Extensions package comes with multiple Visual Studio Wizards for Project Creation, Configuration, Conversion, and Upgrade using Telerik UI components.
Create New Telerik ASP.NET MVC Project in Visual Studio
The Create New Project Wizard helps you quickly set up a new ASP.NET MVC application using the desired Telerik UI components.
After installing the .NET MAUI Visual Studio Extensions, go to Extensions > Telerik > Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC > Create New Telerik Project.
From the wizard, you can select your preferred Telerik release version and language: C# or VB. You can also choose from the following templates:
- Blank—Lets you build your app as desired with the help of the Telerik UI components enabled.
- Standard—Includes three sample pages equipped with Panel Bar, Card, and TabStrip components.
- Grid and Menu—Provides a ready app containing the Grid, Menu, and Button components integrated.
- Dashboard—References the TileLayout component and lets you easily customize dashboards and individual blocks in your project.
Finally, you can choose from the available Telerik themes: Default, Bootstrap, or Material; and preview it before creating your ASP.NET MVC project.

Convert to Telerik ASP.NET MVC Project
The Convert Project Wizard lets you enhance an existing ASP.NET MVC application with Telerik UI components such as Grid, Charts and Buttons with just a few clicks.
After installing the ASP.NET MVC Visual Studio Extensions, right-click your ASP.NET app project file in the Solution Explorer and select Telerik > Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC > Convert to Telerik Application.
You can choose the desired release version of UI for ASP.NET MVC, as well as create a backup of your project before the conversion. You can also decide if you want to apply one of the Telerik built-in themes and adjust additional project settings.

Create New Kendo UI Project
You can also create a Kendo UI for jQuery application.
After installing the ASP.NET MVC Visual Studio Extensions, go to Extensions > Telerik > Kendo UI > Create New Kendo UI Project.
Among other options, you will be able to choose from the following project templates: Blank, Standard, Grid and Menu, or Dashboard which contains the Grid and List View integrated.

The Upgrade Project Wizard facilitates the process of upgrading the Telerik ASP.NET MVC controls to the latest version in your project.
API Analyzer
The API Analyzer makes your version upgrades easier. It compares the current and target Telerik ASP.NET MVC versions and determines any problematic areas.

Extensions Options and New Versions
From the Extensions menu, you can access VSExtensions Options where you can adjust general settings for all of the installed Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC Visual Studio Extensions.
In the Extensions menu, you can also find notifications for any available extension upgrades and new controls versions.
