Prerequisites
This extension is designed to only work with projects created using
Angular CLI applications and
Visual Studio Code workspace should contain angular.json
and package.json
files in the root,
to activate this extension.
Features
Add component
On selecting the particular Syncfusion Angular component, it gets installed and adds an entry in package.json
.
Right click on your workspace and select Syncfusion: Add Angular UI Component from the context menu.
You will be presented with list of Syncfusion package versions, select a version to view
components from that particular version.
Now, you will be presented with list of Syncfusion Angular components from that chosen version. Select
a component to add it into your application.
Select a theme from the list of Syncfusion built-in themes.
Finally, enter the optional target module's relative file path to import the chosen Syncfusion component.
Now, component modules and styles will be automatically imported to the module file after installation.
Generate components
Syncfusion Angular Component's code examples can be generated from the command window.
Right click on your workspace and select Syncfusion: Generate Angular UI Component from the context menu.
You will be presented with list of installed Syncfusion components. Select a component to view the examples.
Now, select an example for the chosen component.
Finally, enter a name for the component that is going to be generated.
Now, generated component will be automatically imported to the module file.
Note: Only installed components will be displayed on the generate examples list. So if you want to generate
a code example you need to add it first from here.
FAQ
How to cancel add or generate component process
If you have triggered any add or generate components by accident, it can be cancelled
from the command window.
Goto Command Window (CTRL [or CMD] + SHIFT + P) and search 'syncfusion kill'.
Select Syncfusion: Kill schematics process from the list to kill the currently triggered
schematics process to kill it.
If no process was triggered by the extension, it will simply display popup message.
