Cream Theme Collection

66 selectable light cream themes for Visual Studio Code in one extension.

• Cream adaptations of all 64 variants from Bearded Theme 10.1.0.

The Bearded adaptations share the approved #FFFEFB editor background and warm ivory panels. Each retains its original syntax color families, token scopes, font styles, and semantic selectors. Foregrounds are darkened when necessary for readability, with at least 5.2:1 measured contrast against the cream editor. The two previously approved cream themes keep their existing palettes. Some original variants share syntax palettes. The 64 Bearded entries contain 60 distinct adapted syntax palettes, with all source variants available to select.

Choose a theme

1. Install Cream Theme Collection from the VS Code Marketplace.
2. Run Preferences: Color Theme, or press Ctrl+K, then Ctrl+T.
3. Search for Cream Collection and choose a variant.

The collection includes Arc, Monokai, Solarized, Oceanic, Coffee, Milkshake, Aquarelle, and the other Bearded families, plus the two additional cream themes.

For local installation, run Extensions: Install from VSIX... and choose the packaged .vsix file.

Labels containing HC identify the original Bearded variant. All adaptations in this collection are registered as standard light themes.

Build from the included source

Run these commands from this folder with Python 3:

python build_collection.py
python package_theme.py

The build uses the included source snapshots and Python's standard library. conversion-report.json records the source-to-variant mapping and contrast results for every Bearded theme.

Attribution and license

This collection contains modified Bearded Theme sources and is distributed under GPLv3. NOTICE.md identifies the original projects and modifications. Their licenses, editable theme files, and build scripts are included in the VSIX.
