Pikuuu - Your Editor Pet

A tiny virtual pet that lives in your VS Code sidebar. Feed it, play with it, and watch it wander and sleep while you code.

Ported from the "Pikuuu - Your Browser Pet" Chrome extension into a native VS Code sidebar view.

Features

  • 🐾 A pet that idles, wanders, and sleeps in its own panel in the Activity Bar
  • 🍖 Feed, 🎾 Play, and 💤 Sleep/Wake actions, from the panel toolbar or the Command Palette
  • 📊 Hunger, Energy, and Happiness stats that decay over time — even while VS Code is closed
  • 🖱️ Drag the pet around its panel, rub it for affection, or try to catch it (it might dodge!)
  • 💾 Pet state is saved automatically and restored next time you open VS Code

Usage

  1. Click the Pikuuu icon in the Activity Bar to open the pet panel.
  2. Use the Feed, Play, and Sleep buttons at the top of the panel (or the same-named commands in the Command Palette).
  3. Keep hunger, energy, and happiness up to keep your pet content!

Commands

Command Description
Pikuuu: Feed Pet Feeds the pet, restoring hunger and happiness
Pikuuu: Play with Pet Plays with the pet, boosting happiness (costs energy)
Pikuuu: Toggle Sleep Puts the pet to sleep or wakes it up
Pikuuu: Reset Pet Resets the pet to its default starting state

Privacy

Pikuuu stores its state (hunger/energy/happiness/position) locally using VS Code's built-in extension storage. No data is transmitted anywhere.
