Suade Report Template Tools

Provides tools for working with Suade Report Template HTML files. Validates HTML template files against the rules.

Installation

The extension can be installed from inside VS Code directly. Open the extensions panel and search for Suade, then click install.

Features

Report Template Checking

The status of the report template checker is indicated by the 'Suade HTML' status bar item in the lower left of the editor (on the blue bar). It will default to 'off'. To enable/disable report template HTML checking, either click the status bar item or run the Toggle Report Template Checking command from the command palette, by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+P.

Once enabled the checker will validate the currently open HTML file, and re-validate it each time an edit is made. An error count is displayed in the status bar, and any errors found are highlighted in red within the document, with error descriptions displayed in-line. Disabling the checker will clear these highlights.

To enable/disable the inline error messages run the Toggle Report Template Checker Inline Errors command from the command palette (CTRL+SHIFT+P). When disabled, errors can be seen by hovering over the highlighted text with the mouse.

Notes

Please note that when the location of an error cannot be highlighted the first character of the document will be highlighted instead. The error message should provide sufficient information to locate the error.
