Invoice Preview

See an EDI or e-invoice file as a readable invoice, live, next to the file you are editing. Everything runs on your computer: nothing is sent, collected or stored.

Formats

• X12: 810, 210, 310, 410, 214; other transactions (850, 856, 997…) in a general view.
• EDIFACT: INVOIC from directories D95A–D20B; other messages (ORDERS, DESADV, IFTSTA…) in a general view.
• UBL 2.0 and 2.1: Invoice, CreditNote, Peppol, Serbian SEF.
• CII (Cross Industry Invoice) with Factur-X / ZUGFeRD 2.x / XRechnung profiles; ZUGFeRD 1.0.
• ZUGFeRD / Factur-X PDF with embedded XML.
• Other XML (fields recognized by element names) and CSV (; , TAB | detected automatically).

Features

• Preview panel: the preview button in the editor title appears on every invoice file, whatever its extension. The panel shows parties, dates, lines, VAT and totals, and follows the cursor.
• Click to jump: clicking a field in the panel selects it in the file; moving the cursor in the file highlights the field in the panel.
• Field explanations on hover: segments, elements and codes for X12 and EDIFACT, and EN 16931 business terms (BT-1, BT-2…) for UBL and CII.
• Gray labels next to values in the file ("what is what").
• Checks: segment counters, control numbers and totals, in the Problems view and in the panel; the error chip in the panel header jumps to them.
• Several invoices in one file: pick one at the top of the panel, or just move the cursor.
• My fields: your own fields by regular expression or by location (REF*IV, RFF+ON, cbc:ID, a CSV column), saved only after you confirm.
• Formatting: one segment per line, everything on one line, indent XML.
• English and Serbian: switch with the SR / EN buttons in the panel.

Usage

1. Open an invoice file (.edi, .x12, .txt, .xml, .csv…); the format is detected from the content.
2. Click the preview button in the editor title, or run EDI: Open invoice preview.
3. PDF: open the .pdf and click the preview button, or right-click it in the Explorer → Open ZUGFeRD / Factur-X PDF.

Settings

Privacy

The extension does not send, collect or store any data. It has no network access, no telemetry and no runtime dependencies. The only things written to your VS Code settings are the ones you choose yourself: the language and the rules of My fields (never values from invoices). Details: PRIVATNOST.md in the extension folder.

Pregled faktura (srpski)

Ekstenzija prikazuje EDI fajl ili e-fakturu kao čitljivu fakturu, uživo, pored fajla. Sve radi na tvom računaru: ništa se ne šalje, ne prikuplja i ne čuva.

• Formati: X12 (810, 210, 310, 410, 214), EDIFACT (INVOIC D95A–D20B), UBL 2.x (SEF, Peppol), CII / ZUGFeRD / Factur-X / XRechnung, ZUGFeRD PDF, opšti XML i CSV.
• Panel: dugme pregleda u naslovu editora pojavi se na svakom fajlu koji je faktura. Klik na polje u panelu označi mesto u fajlu, a kursor u fajlu označi polje u panelu.
• Opisi polja kad pređeš mišem preko segmenta ili elementa, i sive oznake „šta je šta“ pored vrednosti.
• Provere brojača, kontrolnih brojeva i zbirova u Problems i u panelu; čip „N grešaka“ vodi do njih.
• Moja polja: sopstvena polja regexom ili oznakom mesta, čuvaju se tek posle potvrde.
• Jezik: dugmad SR / EN na panelu ili podešavanje ediPregled.jezik.
• PDF: otvori .pdf i klikni dugme pregleda, ili desni klik u Explorer-u → „Otvori ZUGFeRD / Factur-X PDF“.

Privatnost: u podešavanja VS Code-a upisuju se samo izabran jezik i pravila Mojih polja, nikad podaci iz faktura. Detalji su u PRIVATNOST.md u folderu ekstenzije.
