SeqWorks — Sequence Diagram DSL

Author UML‑style sequence diagrams as text and see them rendered live. SeqWorks is a VS Code extension built on Langium with a full language server (diagnostics, completion, hover, go‑to‑definition), quick fixes, and an interactive SVG diagram view.

It uses two small languages:

• Model DSL (.model) — one file per project. Declares your elements (and their operations) inside a package hierarchy, with free‑form key‑value tags.
• Sequence DSL (.seq) — one file per diagram. Declares lifelines bound to model elements and the messages between them, with control fragments (if/for/while/switch) and cross‑diagram ref.

Features

• Two DSLs with cross‑file references — .seq files import the project .model (and other .seq files); lifelines reference elements, messages reference operations, ref references other diagrams.
• Language server — real‑time error underlines, code completion (with ./: triggers), hover, and go‑to‑definition.
• Context‑aware completion — after receiver., only the receiver element's operations are suggested.
• Quick fixes — when a lifeline's element or a message's operation doesn't exist, one click creates it in the imported .model file (creating packages as needed).
• Live diagram view — renders the active .seq as an SVG that updates as you type. On a syntax error the last good diagram stays on screen, flagged as stale.
• Pan / zoom palette — drag to pan, scroll to zoom, plus Fit / 1:1 / zoom buttons.
• Click‑to‑source — click an arrow in the diagram to jump the editor cursor to that message.
• Image export — save the diagram as SVG or PNG via a save dialog (defaults next to the .seq file).
• JSON export — save the whole project as one tool‑neutral interchange document (logical structure and diagram coordinates) for import into UML tools.
• Syntax highlighting for both .model and .seq.

Commands

Getting started

1. Create a single .model file describing your elements and operations.
2. Create .seq files, each importing the model, declaring lifelines, and writing messages.
3. Run SeqWorks: Open Sequence Diagram (or the export button in the view's palette) to see and export the diagram.

• 실시간 다이어그램 뷰 — 활성 .seq를 SVG로 렌더링하며 입력에 따라 갱신됩니다. 문법 오류가 있으면 마지막 정상 다이어그램을 유지하고 "이전 것"으로 표시합니다.
• Pan / Zoom 팔레트 — 드래그로 이동, 휠로 확대/축소, Fit / 1:1 / 확대·축소 버튼 제공.
• 다이어그램 → 소스 이동 — 다이어그램의 화살표를 클릭하면 편집기 커서가 해당 메시지 위치로 이동합니다.
• 이미지 내보내기 — 저장 다이얼로그로 SVG 또는 PNG 저장(기본 위치는 해당 .seq 파일 폴더).
• .model/.seq 구문 강조.
