Sipcode — AI coding assistant for VS Code

Sipcode is an AI coding agent that lives inside VS Code. It reads your project, edits files (you review every change as a diff), runs terminal commands, and remembers your conversations. It runs on your SipcoAI account and credits.

Requires a free SipcoAI account — sign up at sipcoai.ir. The interface is in Persian (RTL) and works in both light and dark themes.

Features

• Agent, Plan and Ask modes — let it read, edit and run commands; or only plan; or only answer questions.
• Safe by design — every file edit opens a native VS Code diff for approval; creating, deleting and renaming files and running terminal commands always ask first. Dangerous commands (rm -rf, git reset --hard, git push --force…) get an extra warning.
• Context that follows you — your active file or selected code is attached to the message automatically. Add any file with +.
• Slash commands — type / in the chat: /analyze, /fix, /explain, /tests, /refactor, /plan, /new…
• Model choice — pick a model yourself, or let Sipcode choose the right one for each task.
• Session history — every conversation is saved to your account; resume it from the sidebar on any machine.
• Transparent usage — tokens, time and credits are shown under every answer; your balance is always in the status bar. Sipcode: Token Usage Report breaks spend down by model, day, project and session.
• Skills — install expert instruction packs from the Skills & Tools sidebar: design (Taste Skill, Impeccable, Playwright CLI, Awesome DESIGN.md, img2threejs) and token savers (Graphify, Headroom, CodeBurn). Only each skill's name and one-line description are sent; the full text loads only when the agent needs it. Type /skill-name in the chat to use one explicitly.
• Add skills from any Git repo — like Claude Code plugins or Codex skills: owner/repo, a GitHub URL, a /tree/<branch>/<dir> link or any git URL. Project skills in .sipcode/skills, .claude/skills or .agents/skills are picked up automatically. Only add repos you trust.
• Git tools — the agent can check git status, read diffs and history without asking, and create commits after your approval (it never pushes).
• Images — paste (Ctrl+V), drop or attach screenshots and mockups; they are downscaled before upload. With a vision model the agent can also look at project images itself (view_image), e.g. a UI screenshot it just took, to check its work against the design.
• Prompt caching — repeated context is served from the provider's cache at a lower price; the cache hit rate is shown under each answer.
• Verified results, not claims — after changing files the agent re-checks VS Code errors and failed tests and repairs them in a few bounded rounds; a task is shown as done only when the checks support it ("done with remaining issues" otherwise).
• Intelligence modes & credit cap — economy, smart (default) or deep, each with a per-message credit ceiling; when it's reached the agent pauses until you say «ادامه بده» / "continue".
• Diagnostic report — Sipcode: Export Diagnostic Report (redacted) summarises recent tasks (outcome, checks, models, credits by phase) with keys, tokens, passwords, e-mails and paths removed — review it before sharing with support.
• Leaner context — terminal output is compacted (ANSI colours, progress redraws and repeated lines removed; error lines kept verbatim) before it reaches the model.

Getting started

1. Install the extension and click the Sipcode icon in the activity bar.
2. Sign in with your SipcoAI username (or mobile number) and password.
3. Open a project folder and ask something, e.g. "Explain the structure of this project".
4. Running low? Click the credit balance to top up at sipcoai.ir.

Shortcuts: Ctrl+Alt+K open chat · Ctrl+Alt+A add selection to chat · Ctrl+Alt+. stop. Right-click selected code for Explain / Refactor / Optimize / Generate Tests.

Privacy

When you send a message, the text you wrote, the code you attached and the files the assistant reads to answer are sent to sipcoai.ir and processed by the AI model you selected. Conversations are stored in your SipcoAI account so you can resume them, and you can delete any session from the sidebar. Your password is never stored; the sign-in token is kept in VS Code's encrypted secret storage. After each task the extension also reports its outcome to your account (status, counts, credits and check results only — no code, file paths, prompts or terminal output) so success rate and cost per task can be measured.
