EML Subject Editor

Opens .eml files in VS Code as readable emails instead of raw encoded text.

What it does

  • Opens .eml files in a clean email view showing decoded Subject, From, To, Date, and body
  • Lets you edit the subject — saves it back in proper MIME-encoded format
  • Supports Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and all Unicode languages

How to use

  1. Open any .eml file in VS Code
  2. Click Edit Subject to change the subject
  3. Press Enter to save

To see the raw file, right-click the tab → Reopen Editor With... → Text Editor.

Requirements

VS Code 1.85.0 or higher. No other dependencies.
