System Behaviour Description Language extension for Visual Studio Code.

Features

• Syntax highlighting for SBDL, in .sbdl files and embedded in other languages
• Language server: diagnostics, go to definition, find references, hover, outline, and completion of element types, properties, relation targets and cross-references
• Snippets for statements, element types, FMEA chains, directives and references
• Model Explorer in the side bar: the whole compiled model, including what other files contribute, by type, hierarchy or file; relations both ways, quick filter, follow cursor
• Live Diagram beside the editor, re-rendered on every save, with zoom and pan, and rooted at a single element from the explorer
• Element matrix and FMEA table as sortable, filterable tables with resizable columns and optional vertical column headers
• Table Designer: pick rows, columns or two axes of a relation matrix from the compiled model and get a table as CSV, Markdown or HTML; it writes a Jinja2 template you can save and run again in a document build
• Compile dialogue: mode, filters, switches and configuration in one form, showing the command line it builds
• Every compiler mode, including any added by a newer compiler, in the actions menu
• Compiler install and update, manual and configuration viewers, and a status item carrying the language-server state

Requirements

The SBDL compiler must be installed: pip install sbdl, or Install Compiler from the extension's menu. Diagrams need PlantUML, locally or through a rendering server.

Extension Settings

Compiler command, diagram format, language-server behaviour and remote rendering are under File -> Preferences -> Settings -> Extensions -> SBDL.

Table Designer: custom tables and relation matrices built from the compiled model, rendered through the compiler's own template:fill mode and saveable as a Jinja2 template. Matrices open with vertical column headers, and the table view no longer dims the row shading of empty cells.
