VS Code remote-display companion

This installable development extension shows incoming session requests and opens the trusted web app for the complete enrolled-device, consent, connect, disconnect, and session-status flows.

It does not run local or remote commands, create a tunnel, inspect Git content, read workspace files, capture editor text, or share terminals. Connection handoff is disabled when the workspace is not trusted, and logs omit content.

The Windows component does not yet expose the separately documented VS Code named-pipe contract, so this extension never simulates a direct native-agent connection. Connect, status, and disconnect commands instead open the working web session UI where the target sees and approves the exact permissions and either peer can stop visibly.

On Windows, an installed Chrome/Edge native host can relay only bounded, short-lived incoming-session metadata to this extension. While VS Code is open, the extension consumes that local current-user file, shows an information message, and offers to open the trusted Sessions page. It never receives screen, input, clipboard, file, source, terminal, or credential content. Email and the in-app request remain the fallback when either extension is closed.
