Rashid Folder Colors
Color your folders in the VS Code Explorer. Right-click a folder, pick a color, and your eyes find components, api or tests instantly.
How to use
Right-click any folder in the Explorer.
Choose Set Folder Color…
Pick one of 9 colors: red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, purple, pink or gray.
Select several folders first (Ctrl/Cmd + click) to color them all at once. To undo, right-click and choose Remove Folder Color .
Features
Folder and its contents. Files and subfolders inside a colored folder take its color too (turn off with applyToChildren).
Colored dot next to the folders you picked, so you can tell them apart from their contents.
Shared with your team. Colors are saved in the project's .vscode/settings.json. Commit it and everyone sees the same colors.
Follows renames. Rename or move a folder and its color moves with it.
Looks right in any theme. Each color has a light and dark version, and you can override them in workbench.colorCustomizations.
