Git Actions Pro
A PhpStorm-inspired Git dashboard for VS Code multi-repository workspaces.
Publisher: Rahul Tathod (RahulTathod)
Highlights
- Workspace dashboard that detects all repositories surfaced by VS Code's built-in Git extension.
- Pull All, Push All, and Fetch All with per-repository outcomes.
- Individual Pull, Push, Fetch, Commit staged, Stage all + Commit, branch creation, switch, merge, and cherry-pick actions.
- Per-repository branch, detached-HEAD, changed-file, ahead, and behind indicators.
- Sequential bulk operations: one repository failure does not prevent the remaining repositories from being processed.
- Explicit confirmation before Pull All and Push All.
- No destructive reset/clean operations; local changes are not automatically discarded.
- Uses the Git executable and existing Git credentials, so GitLab remotes work normally.
Install
Use Extensions → ... → Install from VSIX... to install the packaged VSIX. In Remote - WSL, install it in the WSL extension host.
Build
npm install -g @vscode/vsce
vsce package
Run from the folder containing package.json.
Safety notes
- Pull All and Push All run sequentially, repository by repository.
- Detached-HEAD repositories are skipped for pull/push and reported as failures/skips.
- Git itself handles merge/rebase conflicts; resolve them in VS Code's Source Control or GitLens.
- Commit uses already staged changes; no files are silently staged. Stage-all is available as an explicit separate action.
- Test on non-critical repositories before using on important work.
