Qalam Studio: Arabic Text & Hijri Tools

Qalam Studio brings Arabic typography and the Hijri calendar into Visual Studio Code.

Features

Live Hijri clock in the status bar (Umm al-Qura calendar). Click it to insert the date.
Insert Hijri Date: long Arabic format (الجمعة، ١٩ جمادى الأولى ١٤٤٨ هـ) or compact numeric format (1448/05/19).
Arabic-Indic digits: convert selected text between 0123456789 and ٠١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩. Persian digits (۰۱۲…) are also converted back to Western.
RTL isolate wrapping: wrap a selection in Unicode isolate controls so mixed Arabic and code text stops reordering punctuation.
