List Sorter Sidekick

Select lines in any text editor, run List Sorter Sidekick: Organize Selected Lines into Buckets, then drag lines into named buckets. Choose To Markdown to open a new Markdown document containing each bucket as a level-two heading and its lines as a bullet list. The original selection is unchanged.

When the selection contains a single non-empty line, comma-, tab-, pipe-, and semicolon-separated values are automatically turned into individual items. Surrounding whitespace and empty values are omitted. If multiple separator types are present, the most frequently occurring separator is used.

The organizer starts with two buckets. Use the + Add bucket button to make more, rename headings inline, and drag cards to move or reorder lines. Ctrl/Cmd-click or Shift-click selects multiple items for a bulk move. Undo and Redo restore organization changes, while Search filters visible items without changing their bucket assignments.
