Pochita Pet

A tiny Pochita mascot that lives inside a VS Code panel and can chat using Gemini.

Features

• Idle and walk animations using the included sprite sheet.
• Hover to show the front-facing pose.
• Dialog bubble that follows Pochita.
• Built-in chat input to send messages.
• Gemini integration (gemini-2.5-flash) with local API key storage (SecretStorage).

Usage

1. Open the Command Palette and run Pochita: Start Pet.
2. If asked, paste your Gemini API key (stored locally in SecretStorage).
3. Open the panel (Cmd+J) and select the Pochita tab if it is not visible.
4. Write a message in the chat input and press Enviar.

Requirements

• A Gemini API key.

Privacy

Your API key is stored locally in VS Code SecretStorage. It is not bundled or published with the extension.
