FacilGuide Accessible -- VS Code Color ThemeA high-contrast, accessibility-first dark theme for Visual Studio Code, created by the team behind FacilGuide, the multilingual technology guide for seniors and anyone who values clarity. About the ThemeFacilGuide Accessible was designed with one principle above all else: readability. Every color pairing in this theme meets or exceeds WCAG AA contrast requirements against its background. The palette uses a near-black base (#0d1117) with bright, clearly distinguishable syntax colors that avoid common colorblind confusion pairs. If you have ever squinted at faintly highlighted code or struggled to tell yellow from green in another theme, this one was built for you. The background is a true dark charcoal that provides maximum contrast for the light foreground text (#e6edf3). The primary accent is a vivid green (#4ade80) that marks active elements including the cursor, line numbers, tab borders, and HTML tags. This green was chosen specifically for its high luminance contrast against the dark base, making it visible under a wide range of monitor calibrations and ambient lighting conditions. Keywords use a saturated red (#f85149) that is distinct from the green even for deuteranopia (red-green colorblind) users because the two colors differ in lightness, not just hue. Functions render in a soft violet (#d2a8ff) and strings in a pale blue (#a5d6ff), providing clear separation without relying on subtle hue shifts. Comments are set to a medium gray (#8b949e) that remains comfortably readable at normal text sizes. This is intentionally brighter than most dark themes to support developers who rely on inline documentation and code comments as part of their workflow. Features
