Settings

  • Company: The name of the company that the AI agent represents. This will control which dns is used in api calls.

Prerequisites

  • VSCode
  • Github Copilot Extension

Installation

  1. Open Visual Studio Code.
  2. Go to the Extensions view by clicking on the Extensions icon in the Activity Bar on the side of the window.
  3. Search for opsera.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Open settings and enter your company name.

Usage

Chat with Opsera AI

  1. Open the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+I or Cmd+Shift+I on macOS).
  2. Select the chat icon (third icon) in the top left of the copilot window that pops up.
  3. Use @opsera to start interacting with the AI agent in the chat interface.

Git Tracking Commands

Access these commands via Command Palette (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+P):

  • Opsera: Show Git Tracker Summary - View all tracked repositories and recent commits
  • Opsera: Refresh Git Tracker - Manually refresh git tracking data
  • Opsera: Show Recent Commits - Display recent commits for the current branch

Salesforce Commands

  • Salesforce: Analyze Salesforce Repository & Generate package.xml - Analyze your Salesforce repository and generate package.xml

What's New: Git Tracking

The extension now automatically tracks your git activity across all workspace folders:

✅ Automatic Monitoring: Tracks current branch and recent commits
✅ Context-Aware AI: Ask about your recent work without selecting commits
✅ Multi-Workspace Support: Monitors all git repositories in your workspace
✅ Real-time Updates: Detects branch switches and new commits automatically

Example Questions:

  • "@opsera What did I change in my last commit?"
  • "@opsera What branch am I on and what have I been working on?"
  • "@opsera Should I merge this branch to main?"

The AI automatically has context about your recent commits, so you never need to manually provide commit information!

Viewing Tracked Data

NEW: Sidebar UI

  • Open the Opsera sidebar (click Opsera icon in Activity Bar)
  • Go to GIT TRACKING section
  • See all tracked repositories, branches, and commits
  • Click commits to copy hash
  • Auto-refreshes every 30 seconds
