A VS Code extension for chatting with local coding agents from the Sidebar. It supports OpenCode and Claude Code, renders Markdown responses, streams output, shows tool activity and file diffs, supports model selection and conversation history, and provides an English interface.

Requirements
Visual Studio Code 1.90 or later
Node.js and npm
OpenCode CLI for the OpenCode backend
Claude Code CLI and an active login for the Claude Code backend
Usage
Open a project folder in VS Code.
Open the OpenCode icon from the Activity Bar or the editor title bar.
Select OpenCode or Claude Code from the backend picker.
Turn Auto Accept on to let the agent continue automatically, or turn it off to review each protected action.
Configure the required CLI and authentication when prompted.
Type a question and press Enter.
Use Shift+Enter for a new line.
Model Selection
Click the model button below the chat composer.
Search by provider name or model ID.
Type /model provider/model to select a model directly.
Ask About Selected Code
Select code in the editor.
Right-click and choose OpenCode Console: Ask About Selected Code.
Review or edit the generated prompt before sending it.
You can also use OpenCode Console: Ask About Current File from the editor title bar to include the active file.
Backend Selection
Use the backend picker near the composer to switch between OpenCode and Claude Code. The selected backend is remembered for the workspace.
OpenCode uses the local OpenCode Server and connected providers.
Claude Code uses the local claude CLI and its existing authentication.
