OV VSCode Extension

VSCode extension to work with OneVizion API.

Contains a Reports, Rules, DB packages views that allows to fetch the list of existing OV entities and open PL/SQL Blocks in Editor to work with and optimize.

How to install

You can launch the extension in two ways:

Run in Development Mode

  1. Clone the project
  2. Open VS Code and launch the extension:
  • Press Ctrl+Shift+P (or Cmd+Shift+P on macOS)
  • Select Debug: Start Debugging

A new VS Code window will open with the extension running.

Install the prebuilt extension from GitHub Releases

  1. Go to the repository’s Releases section
  2. Download the latest ov-vscode.vsix file
  3. Open VS Code and install extension:
  • Press Ctrl+Shift+P (or Cmd+Shift+P on macOS)
  • Select Extensions: Install from VSIX...
  • Choose the downloaded ov-vscode.vsix file

After installation, the extension icon will appear in the Activity Bar.

Work with extension

Note: Prepare a token in Access:Secret format in advance.

To work with extension you need to add OV platform connection.

Open VS Code and follow these steps:

  • Press Ctrl+Shift+P (or Cmd+Shift+P on macOS)
  • Select OneVizion: OV: Switch Host

In the menu that appears, you can manage connections to the OV platform.
