Once installed, this extension automatically detects your NONICATAB FREE/NONICATAB PRO installation and registers a "Revit" MCP server in VS Code. This gives AI agents (via Copilot Chat or any MCP-compatible tool) live access to:
Inspecting and selecting elements in your Revit model
Editing element properties
Generating documentation from model data
And 50+ other tools for working directly with your live Revit session
Usage
Install this extension.
Make sure NONICATAB FREE or NONICATAB PRO is installed (nonica.io).
Open Revit with a model loaded.
Open the Chat view in VS Code (Ctrl+Alt+I) and start asking Revit-related questions — the AI agent will automatically use the Revit MCP tools.
Extension Settings
This extension contributes the following setting:
nonicatab.revitExePath: Optional. Manually specify the path to RevitMCPConnection.exe if it's installed to a non-default location. Leave empty to auto-detect NONICA or NONICAPRO.
