Live Test — HR

Run Live Test coding interviews from VS Code. Create a timed session, share a join code with the candidate, monitor tasks and chat, and optionally join their editor via Live Share.

Paired with Live Test — Candidate.

Why Live Test?

• Real VS Code, not a browser coding sandbox
• Structured session: tasks, timer, chat, submit/lock
• Better than Meet screen share alone: optional Live Share for readable co-presence in the IDE
• Company-hosted session server (live.nodepack.online)

Quick start

1. Install this extension.
2. Ensure the candidate has Live Test — Candidate (+ Live Share if co-editing).
3. Live Test HR: Create Session → copy join code (tasks come later).
4. Join this session yourself.
5. Set / edit tasks in the sidebar when ready.
6. When the candidate publishes Live Share, Open invite (or use Meet screen share).
7. End session to finish and lock, or wait for candidate submit / timer.
