Sync Worktrees

Sync Worktrees adds a Sync worktrees action to Git repository rows in the Source Control Repositories section.

When you run the action, it reads the registered worktrees for that repository, refreshes their status, and reopens nonselected worktree entries in Source Control. It preserves the commit-message text for each reopened worktree. The action does not create, remove, or modify Git worktrees or their files.

Requirements

  • Visual Studio Code 1.95 or later.
  • The built-in Git extension must be enabled.
  • Git must be able to access the repository and its registered worktrees.

Develop and package

Run these commands from the extension folder:

npm install
npm test
npm run package

npm run package creates a VSIX file that you can install in VS Code or upload to the Visual Studio Marketplace.
