Metropolia ICT
Do your Metropolia programming assignments right here in VS Code. Write your code and see straight away how you did.
Get started
- Click the Metropolia ICT icon (an M with a check mark) on the left side of VS Code.
- Choose your course.
- Choose a folder for your work.
- Pick an assignment. Its instructions list the folders and files to create, with their exact names.
- Create them, write your code and save the file. Your points appear in a moment.
If you need to install anything else, your first assignment tells you how.
What you can do
- ▶ Run my code (
Ctrl+Alt+R, on Mac Cmd+Alt+R): try your program. It's checked at the same time.
- ✓ Check my code (
Ctrl+Alt+T, on Mac Cmd+Alt+T): get your points without running. Saving the file checks
your code too.
- Feedback: see what was expected and what your program did. You get points for every part that works.
- Your progress: see your points for every module. Show My Progress (the graph icon) shows the whole course.
- ★ Extra assignments: optional, for learning more. They don't change your points.
- Web page assignments (globe icon): open the page, and press Mark as done when you're done.
Good to know
- Your code is checked on your own computer. The points help you practise. Your teacher grades the work you hand in.
- Nothing is sent anywhere.
