Bug Tracker (.bg)

English
A VS Code extension that opens .bg files in a visual editor to track the bugs of a game: table or Kanban board, statuses, priorities, labels, image and video attachments, change history and reproducibility details.
Getting started
- Create a file with the
.bg extension (for example bugs.bg), or run Bug Tracker: New .bg file (Ctrl+Shift+P).
- Type a title in the box at the top and press Enter to add a bug quickly, or use + New bug to fill in everything.
- Click a bug to edit it.
Everything is saved in the .bg file itself (JSON), so Ctrl+Z, Save and Git work like with any other file. To see the raw JSON: Bug Tracker: Open as text (JSON).
Features
- Table and Kanban: switch at the top. In Kanban you drag cards between status columns; with several cards selected they all move. Each column has a box to add bugs directly. The layout always fits the window: on narrow windows secondary columns are hidden instead of showing a scroll bar.
- Labels: type and press Enter (or comma). Filter by label in the toolbar.
- Bulk editing: tick bugs with the checkboxes (table or cards). A bar lets you change status and priority, add or remove labels, and delete. Esc clears the selection.
- Reproducibility: frequency, platform, version/build, steps, expected and actual behaviour.
- Image and video attachments: Attach… button, paste a screenshot (Ctrl+V) or drag files into the dialog. Files are copied to a folder next to the
.bg (bugs.bg → bugs.anexos/). Click a thumbnail to view it large. If a video does not play inside VS Code, use Open in system. Removing an attachment or deleting a bug does not delete the file from the .anexos folder.
- History: every bug records when its status, priority, labels, attachments and other fields changed (History tab). The last 200 changes per bug are kept.
- Status bar: shows how many bugs are unresolved (open, in progress or testing) across all
.bg files in the workspace. Click to open the list; with several files you choose which one. It gets a warning background when there are unresolved critical bugs.
- English / Português: the flags at the top right of the editor switch the language. By default the editor uses the language of VS Code (Portuguese if VS Code is in Portuguese, English otherwise). Your choice is remembered.

Statuses: aberto (open), progresso (in progress), teste (testing), resolvido (resolved), nao-corrigir (won't fix).
Priorities: critica (critical), alta (high), media (medium), baixa (low).
Frequencies: sempre (always), frequente (frequent), as-vezes (sometimes), raro (rare), uma-vez (once).
The identifiers stay the same in both languages, so a .bg file can be shared between people using different languages. Files from earlier versions keep opening: new fields stay empty until you fill them in.
Funcionalidades
- Tabela e Kanban: alterna no topo.
Esc limpa a seleção.
.bg do workspace.
- English / Português: as bandeiras no canto superior direito do editor mudam o idioma. A tua escolha fica guardada.
