Toolbar Positioning

Use the Move buttons at the bottom of the toolbar:

  • ← Left — Focus the Activity Bar sidebar panel
  • ↓ Bottom — Focus the bottom panel view
  • → Right — Open a companion preview panel on the right side

You can also drag and drop views within VS Code's standard layout system.

Usage

  1. Open any .md file — the toolbar appears in the sidebar automatically
  2. Select text then click a toolbar button to wrap it
  3. Click a toolbar button with no selection to insert a template at cursor
  4. Switch to the Preview tab for a live rendered view
  5. Switch to the Stats tab for document analytics and outline navigation
