MCPBundles Remote Browser for VS Code

Cloud Playwright Chrome for GitHub Copilot — navigate, click, type, screenshot, and automate the web without installing a local browser.

Requirements

  • VS Code 1.99+ with MCP support
  • A MCPBundles account

Connect (recommended)

  1. Install this extension from the Marketplace.
  2. Run MCP: List Servers and start MCPBundles Remote Browser.
  3. When prompted, sign in to MCPBundles in the browser (OAuth). VS Code stores the token for later sessions.

No API key required for normal use.

Optional: workspace API key

For automation or if browser sign-in is blocked, use a workspace API key (not a GitHub PAT):

  1. Command Palette → MCPBundles Remote Browser: Open API Keys Page (or go to Settings → API Keys after signing in).
  2. Click Create API Key, copy the value once (starts with mb_).
  3. Command Palette → MCPBundles Remote Browser: Set API Key (advanced) and paste it.

To switch back to browser sign-in: Sign In (browser) then restart the MCP server.
