MCPBundles for VS Code

Register the MCPBundles hub (or a single bundle) with VS Code so GitHub Copilot and other MCP-aware agents can call your connected tools.

Requirements

  • VS Code 1.99+ with MCP support
  • MCPBundles account and an API key from Settings → API Keys

Install from VSIX

  1. Build or download mcpbundles-mcp-0.1.0.vsix
  2. In VS Code: Extensions → ··· → Install from VSIX…
  3. Run MCPBundles: Set API Key from the Command Palette
  4. Start the MCP server from MCP: List Servers or the Extensions MCP SERVERS section

Settings

Setting Description
mcpbundles.bundleSlug Optional bundle slug (e.g. browser). Empty = hub at /hub/.
mcpbundles.mcpBaseUrl Default https://mcp.mcpbundles.com (for local dev only).
mcpbundles.apiKey Optional fallback; prefer Set API Key (Secret Storage).

Commands

  • MCPBundles: Set API Key — save key to OS-backed Secret Storage
  • MCPBundles: Clear Saved API Key — remove key from Secret Storage
