Navigator, Repos and Editors as one extension: a column navigator for the explorer, git by intent and your editors in a vertical list, built to work together.
Installation
Launch VS Code Quick Open (Ctrl+P), paste the following command, and press enter.
An explorer, source control, a tab list and a structure view that share one set of projects, icons and sounds.
inside CodeLover
what it replaces
Navigator
the explorer: a column navigator, with a card for each project
Repos
source control: git by intent, with the plan shown before it runs
Editors
the tab bar: your open editors in a vertical list
Structure
the outline: the file in front of you as rows in file order beside its rule at true scale, in the secondary side bar
What CodeLover sets up
The built-in Git is turned off (git.enabled: false) so Repos is the one source control view. This is a default and never a write: set git.enabled to true in your settings to bring it back.
A Get Started walkthrough opens on install and tours the three parts.
If you already use Atria, Railyard or SideTabs
CodeLover includes them. While the standalone extension is installed, CodeLover leaves that part off and tells you which one to uninstall. Settings do not carry over: every CodeLover setting lives under codelover., so set yours again from the CodeLover section of Settings. What a standalone extension saved for each workspace (pins, project colors and aliases, the card order) does not carry over either: VS Code keeps that per extension.
