FVM Pro: Full FVM Integration for Flutter 🚀
Introduction
FVM Pro is the essential Visual Studio Code extension designed for Flutter developers who rely on the Flutter Version Management (FVM) tool.
FVM Pro brings the full power of FVM commands directly into your VS Code workspace via a dedicated side panel and command palette, allowing you to manage Flutter versions, create projects, and execute long-running commands like APK builds without leaving the editor.
Installation
FVM Pro can be installed directly from the Visual Studio Code Marketplace or by searching for "FVM Pro" within the VS Code Extensions view (Ctrl+Shift+X).
If you encounter any issues or have feature requests, please file them on our GitHub repository.
✨ Features
FVM Pro provides immediate access to all core FVM functionalities, categorized in the dedicated FVM Manager side panel and the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P).

🖥️ UI Integration
- FVM Manager Side Panel: Provides a dedicated, persistent icon in the Activity Bar (left-most bar) to access all FVM commands with a single click.
- Status Bar Indicator: Displays the currently set Global FVM Version in the VS Code Status Bar, providing an immediate visual check of your environment.
Extension Settings
FVM Pro is designed to require minimal configuration by leveraging your existing FVM CLI installation. A full list of extension settings would be listed here if applicable, but currently, FVM Pro aims for zero-config simplicity.
Key Bindings
All commands are accessible via the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P). You can set custom key bindings for frequently used commands (e.g., fvm.buildApk) via the standard VS Code Keybindings editor (Ctrl+K Ctrl+S).
Analytics
This extension reports minimal, anonymous analytics to help improve stability and track feature usage, such as:
- Extension load times.
- FVM version number.
- Frequency of use of core features (e.g.,
Build APK Release, Set Project Version).
Reporting can be disabled via VS Code's standard Telemetry: Telemetry Level setting.
