Emerald Noir Panda Accent

Emerald accent overlay for the Noir Panda theme (from the Noir Theme Bundle).

Swaps the accent color (buttons, badges, links, tab borders, selection highlights, cursor, etc.) to emerald #10B981, while leaving AI chat panels (Claude Code, Copilot Chat, etc.) at their own default branding — no forced accent bleed into those panels.

Requirements

Install Noir Theme Bundle first: andrewberty.noir-theme-bundle (this extension depends on it and will prompt you if it's missing).

What it does

On activation it merges an emerald workbench.colorCustomizations block scoped to [Noir Panda] into your global user settings, and switches your color theme to Noir Panda if it isn't already active.

This only touches ~40 accent-level tokens (buttons, badges, tabs, links, selection, cursor). It does not ship or modify Noir Panda's own theme file — that stays exactly as its author built it, syntax highlighting included.

Commands

  • Emerald Noir Panda: Apply Emerald Accent — (re)apply the overlay
  • Emerald Noir Panda: Remove Emerald Accent — strip the overlay back out, restoring Noir Panda's stock colors

Why not just ship a modified theme file?

Noir Panda's theme file is someone else's copyrighted work with no published license, so it can't be redistributed as a modified copy. This extension instead layers small, original accent overrides on top of your own Noir Panda install at runtime — no upstream file is copied or bundled.
