VibeGuard – Secure AI-Assisted Coding

This extension requires access to VibeGuard on the Legit platform.

Overview

VibeGuard protects AI-assisted development in the IDE by:

• Blocking attacks
• Detecting risky behavior
• Scanning AI-generated code for vulnerabilities and secrets
• Guiding AI coding agents toward secure code
• Enforcing organizational security policies

The VibeGuard extension connects your IDE to the VibeGuard platform to help monitor AI usage, apply secure coding guidance, and detect risky behavior as code is written.

Installation

The VibeGuard extension is designed for users who have access to VibeGuard as part of the Legit platform.

⚠️ VibeGuard recommends always using the latest version of the Visual Studio Code extension.

Supported Environments

You can use the VibeGuard Visual Studio Code extension in the following operating systems:

• macOS
• Windows

Account Requirements

The VibeGuard extension requires access to VibeGuard on the Legit platform.

Setup

1. Open the extension Settings
2. Generate an API token from the Legit platform
3. Install Certificate
4. Enable the proxy
5. Restart the IDE to complete setup

Once setup is complete, VibeGuard begins protecting AI-assisted development activity in the IDE.
