Cell Notifier

Welcome to Cell Notifier! This VS Code extension notifies users about Jupyter cell execution status, providing desktop and mobile notifications and allowing users to view live outputs via mobile application.

Features

• Desktop Notifications: Receive notifications on your desktop about the execution status of Jupyter cells.
• Mobile Notifications: Get notifications on your mobile device.
• View Live Outputs: View live outputs of the monitored cells on your mobile application.

Login with Gmail

To use Cell Notifier, users need to log in with their Gmail addresses.

Usage

1. Install the Cell Notifier extension in VS Code.
2. Open a Jupyter notebook where you want to monitor cell executions.
3. Sign in to the extension to access its features.
4. Click Fetch Cell Data to fetch the data of the desired cell.
5. Choose your preferred notification method.
6. Click Activate to activate the notifier and start monitoring cell executions.
7. Begin executing the cells in your notebook.
8. Upon completion of cell execution, the notification pops up to keep you informed.

Note for macOS Users

If you're not receiving notifications on Mac, ensure notifications for terminal-notifier are enabled:

Go to System Preferences -> Notifications -> Enable notifications for terminal-notifier.
