Ken’t Compile is a fun VS Code extension that reacts to your coding mistakes in real time. If your code is clean, Ken is happy. If not… Ken gets progressively uglier.

• Automatically counts all errors in your workspace (hover on the images to view error count).
• Updates as you type.

Ken’s face changes depending on how bad your code is:

📦 Installation

✅ Install from VS Code Marketplace

1. Open VS Code
2. Go to Extensions (Ctrl + Shift + X)
3. Search for Ken’t Compile
4. Click Install
5. Open the Explorer panel → find Ken’t Compile

✅ Activate Ken’t Compile

1. Open the Explorer panel → find Ken’t Compile
   
2. Or press Ctrl + Shift + P (Cmd + Shift + P on Mac) to open the Command Palette
   
3. Type "Open Ken't Compile Panel" and press Enter
   

Now Ken is watching your code in real time! 👀

🎨 Select an Album

✅ Change Ken’s reaction style (faces, memes, cats, anime, etc.)

1. Press Ctrl + Shift + P (Cmd + Shift + P on Mac) to open the Command Palette
2. Type "Select Ken Album" and press Enter
3. Choose your desired album and ENJOY!

✨ Ken will immediately switch personalities based on your selection.

⚙️ Requirements

1. VS Code 1.108.1
2. Node.js (for development)
3. Images must exist in media/ folder if customized

🔧 Extension Settings

Currently, the extension does not have configurable settings. Future updates may allow customizing:

• Error thresholds
• Face images
• Panel auto-show toggle

🐛 Known Issues

• Only counts errors, not warnings.
• Panel may not update immediately if using unusual workspace layouts.
• Images must be in JPEG format
