Sigmaris Universal Accessibility Themes

A set of accessibility-focused VS Code color themes designed for:

🔴 Protanopia

🟢 Deuteranopia

🔵 Tritanopia

⚫ High-contrast / Low-vision

⚪ Light gray high-contrast (eye-strain reduction)

This theme pack was created to make coding more inclusive and readable for developers with color-vision differences and low-vision needs.

Theme Description

Universal Protanopia Red-green color confusion optimized Universal Deuteranopia Green-spectrum confusion optimized Universal Tritanopia Blue-yellow color confusion optimized High Contrast Black Maximum contrast for low-vision + night work Light Gray Contrast Soft contrast, reduced eye strain


🎯 Design Principles

Avoid problematic color pairs (red/green, blue/yellow, purple/blue)

Strong luminance separation

Large UI contrast steps

Consistent semantic coloring

Readable even with no hue perception

Every theme was tested with common color-vision simulators and adjusted manually.


🚀 Installation

  1. Open VS Code

  2. Press Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + X

  3. Search for:

Sigmaris Universal Accessibility Themes

  1. Install and select a theme via:

Preferences → Color Theme
