Aurora Dreams — a calm, radiant coding palette.

Aurora Dreams is a dark, atmospheric Visual Studio Code theme inspired by a rare Aurora Borealis sighting in Central Ohio.

While not as vivid or intense as the northern lights seen in Alaska, Iceland, or Scandinavia, the colors that danced across the Ohio sky were still soft, magical, and surreal — subtle ribbons of teal, violet, and pink glowing in the night.

Color Inspiration

The palette reflects the softer tones of a mid-latitude aurora:

• Aurora Teal — the cool glow at the horizon

• Emerald Green — faint waves drifting across the sky

• Violet & Magenta Highlights — soft arcs pulsing above

• Icy White Text — clarity against the dark blue night

• Midnight Background — deep, nearly-black blue

These colors are balanced to be comfortable for long coding sessions while still giving the editor an aurora-style ambient glow.
