Provenance Theme

A warm paper-and-ink theme for VS Code, in a light and a dark variant.

The idea is that the editor should read like a printed page rather than a terminal. Both variants keep the editing surface the brightest thing on screen and let the chrome around it recede, so nothing competes with the code.

• Provenance Light is ink on paper, #f4eee1.
• Provenance Dark is a lamp-lit desk, #1b1815, not a neon terminal.

Syntax colors are grouped into six hue families, so a token's color tells you what kind of thing it is: ink for identifiers, rust for keywords, gold for functions, chrome for strings, blue for types, green for decorators. Comments are muted and italic. Contrast stays moderate throughout, which wears better over a long session than a high-contrast theme.
