Privacy Containers Extension for Visual Studio Code

The VS Code Privacy Containers extension provides language support for the Privacy Containers terraform provider.

Quick Start

Get started with the extension:

1. Install the Terraform Extension for VS Code. This is required for having the best experience.

2. Install the Privacy Containers Extension for VS Code.

3. Activate the extensions by opening any *.tf file.

Features

• IntelliSense - Autocompletion feature for the data elements, data subjects, data uses and PETs attributes.
• Taxonomy Visualisation - Tree visualisation for the data elements, data subjects, data uses and PETs taxonomies.

Intellisense

When declaring the data elements, data subjects, data uses and PETs attributes the extension provides autocompletion suggestions with detailed explanation for each suggestion. The autocompletion feature is trigerred with the " and . characters within the relevant attributes.

Taxonomy Visualisation

To view the taxonomies for the the data elements, data subjects, data uses and PETs attributes one can execute the Taxonomy command from the Command Palette. To open the Command Palette use Ctrl+Shift+P (on Windows and Linux), or Shift+Command+P (on Mac).
