GitHub Template Preview

This extension lets you preview GitHub Issue Forms (.yml) and Markdown templates (.md) directly in VS Code. You can check how issue templates, pull request templates, or README files will look before pushing them to GitHub.

Usage

1. Open a .yml or .md template file in VS Code.
2. Run the command: GitHub Template: Show Preview
   • Windows/Linux: Ctrl+Shift+G P
   • macOS: Cmd+Shift+G P
3. A preview will open beside your editor.
