IBM Z® Open Editor

IBM Z® Open Editor provides language support for the IBM® Enterprise COBOL, PL/I, HLASM, REXX, and JCL languages. It also extends Zowe Explorer with the IBM Remote System Explorer protocol and a graphical resource table allowing you to filter, sort, page, and search in data sets, unix files and jobs. It also provides advanced development tools such as preprocessor support, assembler macros support, and a green screen emulator.

IBM Z® Open Debug

IBM Z® Open Debug provides interactive debugging support for z/OS COBOL, PL/I and High Level Assembler applications in VS Code, in conjunction with IBM z/OS Debugger.

Zowe Explorer

Zowe Explorer provides graphical tree views and capabilities to

• create, modify, rename, copy, and upload data sets directly to a z/OS mainframe.
• create, modify, rename, and upload z/OS UNIX files directly to a z/OS mainframe.
• view, poll, and download job spool files on the z/OS mainframe.

IBM CICS® for Zowe Explorer

IBM CICS® Extension for Zowe Explorer extends Zowe Explorer with additional functionality for CICS developers. This extension allows interactions with CICS regions and resources, and the ability to run commands against them.

IBM File Manager for z/OS®

IBM File Manager for z/OS® extends Zowe Explorer with tools for enhanced file processing when working with z/OS data sets. The extension provides a graphical interface for accessing, editing, and managing datasets and files on z/OS systems, and is a modern alternative to working with IBM File Manager outside the existing Eclipse-based client.

IBM Fault Analyzer for z/OS®

IBM Fault Analyzer for z/OS® extends Zowe Explorer with tools for analyzing and fixing application and system failures. When applications abnormally end (ABEND) it is crucial to understand the root-cause. The extension can discover ABENDs faster, more confidently, and in less time by automatically harvesting real-time information of the ABEND and its environment at the time of failure.
