More Info

Darcula - The theme you know and love, now on VS Code!

Darcula is a dark theme for Visual Studio Code inspired by the original IntelliJ IDEA color palette. It was created to be faithful to the original version, offering a familiar and comfortable coding experience for anyone who has used Darcula in other IDEs.

Why use Darcula?

  • Faithful to the original: Colors and styles are carefully mapped to replicate the classic Darcula look from IntelliJ.

  • Visual Comfort: The dark color palette helps reduce eye strain, making it perfect for long coding sessions.

  • Consistency: Use the same theme across different development environments, keeping your workspace familiar no matter what tool you use.

Installation

You can install the theme directly from the Visual Studio Code Marketplace.

  1. Open Extensions in the sidebar (Ctrl+Shift+X).

  2. Search for "Darcula".

  3. Click Install on the "Darcula" theme by [Your Name/Account Name].

  4. Once installed, select the theme: Go to File > Preferences > Color Theme (or use the shortcut Ctrl+K Ctrl+T) and choose Darcula.
